About
Pamela T. ParkinsI grew up in the small shoreline town of Madison, Connecticut as Pamela T. Harvey. I graduated from Florida State University in 1991 with a B.S. in Psychology. In 2002, I earned my Juris Doctor at Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut. During law school I attended class in the evening and worked full time during the day, first as a paralegal at a litigation firm handling mass tort claims and later as a toxic tort consultant at a major insurance company.
After graduating from law school, I clerked for the Honorable Thomas L. Nadeau, Superior Court Judge for the State of Connecticut. I later became a litigation associate representing policyholders seeking coverage under their commercial general liability policies.
In 2005, I made a life changing cross-country move from Connecticut to the Teton County, Idaho/Wyoming area. In 2005 and 2006, I performed legal research and writing services for attorneys located in throughout Wyoming and Idaho on a variety of subjects, including torts, contracts, family law, municipal law, personal injury, criminal law and property law. Between 2007 and 2010, I practiced law at Meyer & Williams, P.C. in Jackson, Wyoming as a litigation attorney representing individuals suffering from catastrophic personal injuries. During my tenure at Meyer & Williams, P.C., I assisted in litigating a three-month personal injury case in Montana against a major product manufacturer, resulting in a multi-million-dollar verdict in favor of our clients. Between 2010 and 2012, I practiced law as a litigation associate at a general practice law firm located in Jackson, Wyoming performing legal work in the areas of family law, contracts, criminal law, insurance defense and personal injury. I opened the Parkins Law Office, PLLC in March of 2012.
I have been actively involved in litigating cases nationwide since 1994 and am a member of the Wyoming, Idaho and Connecticut Bar Associations.
Over the past few years I have enjoyed providing volunteer services for the Teton County Mentor Project in Jackson, Wyoming and the Teton Valley Foundation in Driggs, Idaho. Through the Teton County Access to Justice Center in Jackson, Wyoming and as a contract public defender in Teton County, Idaho, I provide legal services to individuals who have little or no ability to afford these services. I have served on the board of the Community Resource Center of Teton Valley, located in Driggs, Idaho, since the beginning of 2018.
In November of 2011, I married Rob Parkins, an avid fly fisherman and outdoorsman who works tirelessly as the Public Waters Access Coordinator for Backcountry Hunters & Anglers. I spend my free time gardening, reading, exploring, hiking, camping, skiing and fly fishing in the mountains and rivers of Wyoming and Idaho, often in the company of my husband, our two black labs and some great friends!!
Parkins Law Office, PLLC is a proud sponsor of the Teton Valley Foundation’s Music on Main
